One little step...
When I arrived in South Carolina 5 years ago, I knew it was a challenge for me. I come from a small island in Italy, called Sardinia, and I lived in the north of Italy for 2 years with my military husband and my ( at the time) first son. I've never been in the States. So, I thought that every part of the country was alike. Nope :) one thing that I don't understand is why there is not use at all for the disposable plastic bags! And I am talking only about the SC, because I haven't travelled a lot. Why? These bags are awsome! Here are the ones that we (well, not me anymore!) use in Italy

They are made from biodegradable potato cornstarch. So awsome! You can put in it fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and everything else is not recyclable. The city gives to the citizens a certain amount of bags (usually more than you actually use), so you never run out! I don't know if these bags are already in use in some cities in the States, but I really really hope that soon will be mandatory to replace all the plastic bags with the biodegradable ones! Do you already use them in your city? I would like to hear your comments! Have a nice day everybody!
