MY LITTLE ISLAND!

There is nothing better than a vacation! And, if your destination is your hometown, is really awsome!
Last time I was here was 3 years ago....too long! Did you ever seen a sea more beautiful than this? Sorry, I am not partial ;)



For me, this place is special. The smell of the grass, or while my mom is cooking in the kitchen...it takes me back to when I was a little girl!



I love fish! And everything that comes from the sea! But I feel guilty everytime I eat the poor little creature...:( well, I could write 10 posts talking about this..so, not now! Anyway, a little mussels appetizer! Thanks dad!

Delicious! Delizioso! And very easy to make. Here is the recipe:
You will need:
2 lb fresh mussels (AND PLEASE, FRESH MEANS FRESH. DON'T CHEAT WITH THE CANNED ONES)
2 cloves of fresh garlic cut into slices
2 Tbs extra vergin olive oil
some fresh parsley
How to cook them:
Heat the olive oil, add the sliced garlic and let it cook for a couple of minutes. BE CARFUL, IT BURNS VERY EASILY!
Then, remove the garlic ( some people use crushed garlic and eat it with the mussels. I personally prefer the slices just to add some flavor to the oil), and add the mussels. Let them cook until they are opened. They will release the sea water contained in their shells). DO NOT PUT ANY SALT! If some does not open, throw it away, is probably dead. Sprinkle with the fresh parsley and serve immediately!
